ALL LPV EVENTS HAPPEN RAIN OR SHINE
Performance: July 13 @ 8 PM
Installation: July 14-17
“Last year, I had the opportunity to perform at Le Petit Versailles.
This year, I continue the work from last year and produce a specific installation for the garden composed of wool threads woven between the trees, hanging rag dolls and words written on small cards flying in the wind.
Most of the time, I work on the theme of the meeting and Le Petit Versailles appears to me as a place suitable for meetings, precisely because it is itself a surprise in the middle of this great and crazy city: we do not expect to find it there.
I would like to increase this sensation of surprise by producing within it the mysterious, especially with these threads which will draw like a maze or a web and will indicate links between the trees; or with child’s clothes stuffed with fabric hanging lasciviously or hidden in the garden, and finally with these secret words that will be a little like those we may discover in Chinese biscuits.
On the sidelines of this installation, I will create a specific event: a performance with a projected film made for the occasion, texts uttered, and movements interpreted by a group of people from a workshop I will make in relation to the performance.” – Thomas Adam-Garnung
