SURRENDER DOROTHY: THE RETURN OF THE WITCHES

 Phillippe Comtesse and Evor, artists from France, opened “the exhibition season” of LPV with “Surrender Dorothy: Return of the Witches,” an art installation and performance that enjoined the public to model and act in full witchy-tude, only in a black and white dress code. A sandwich board stood outside the garden announcing, "FREE MAGIC INSIDE!", which prompted a kindly visit from our neighbors at the police department. Our magic was within city regulations, so our neighbors bid us adieu and went on their merry way. Oh, we forgot to mention to you that this was also a photo and video shoot!
