WINTER PLEASURE DOME

The 2012 Le Petit Versailles season started uncharacteristically (or is it?) early this year (in 2011, in fact!), beginning with the construction of the Winter Pleasure Dome by artist John Pavlou. A canvas-wrapped wooden structure in the middle of the Garden, the Pleasure Dome provided both a space for events such as the artist’s Reading of his work, and a respite from the bitter cold of the New York City winter where our friends and neighbors can enjoy the tranquility of the Garden during the months of January, February, and March. We learned that a sing-a-long of about 15 crammed people is enough to warm the Dome to cozy room temperature!
