Invasive Species by Jean Foos

A sculptural installation by Jean Foos in the south corner of Le Petit Versailles garden painted during her recent Governors Island residency sponsored by 4heads. Initially the colors were inspired by brilliant yellow-green foliage on the island last Spring. During the same time new threats to reproductive rights prompted the use of the color green, a symbol of abortion rights around the world.
