Dancing for plants is a risky practice. It's performing more-than-human conspiracies that can, in the same movement, re-pattern identities, ontologies and collectives. We invite you to foment new stories together, of care, magic, photosynthesis and many other things. And we'll mostly dance! For ourselves, for the plants, for ourselves and the plants, to make (our) leaves waggle Kindly.

dance for plants is an international research group dedicated to the creation, articulation, and propagation of a situated practice. We collectively generate strategies to make dancing for plants easier in the present troubled worlds. How is this practice related to more-than-human knowledges, ontologies and bodies? What are its requirements and obligations? What can it do and how can it be done? How does it matter? What can it teach us and how risky is it?dance for plants facilitate workshops, perform at people’s homes for their plants, take part in exhibitions and conferences, collaborate with artists, activists, institutions, scholars, witches, gardeners, dead people, pets, bodies of water and many other humans and nonhumans, in order to proliferate experiences, scores, texts, frameworks, movements, affects, thoughts, stories, images, intimacies, ethics, gatherings, and myriad wiggling materials as companions for fomenting new responsible ways of dancing for plants.--Le Petit Versailles events are made possible by Allied Productions, Inc., Gardeners & Friends of LPV, GreenThumb/NYC Dept. of Parks, Materials for the Arts, the NYC Dept. of Cultural Affairs, and the Office of City Councilwoman Carlina Rivera. LPV Exhibitions are made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
