He immersed himself in music, from Bach, Leo Brouwer, and Villa Lobos, to Elis Regina, João Gilberto, Caetano Veloso, Tom Jobim, Edu Lobo, and Os Mutantes. Baroque music was also an early favorite, leading him to study harpsichord and sing in an Early Music Choir. After completing his Bachelors degree in Psychology, as well as, his post-graduate specialization in Film, Bruno moved to NYC where he began his study of lute and other Early Music instruments. After a two year stint playing electric bass in a rock band, he taught himself nylon string guitar (or classical guitar), studying Bossa Nova, Samba, and other Brazilian rhythms, tying together his diverse musical interests - a Tropicalia culmination. Today, Bruno produces videos, works for an architectural firm, teaches a Brazillian Music Appreciation Class, and continues his musical pursuits. He is currently working on original songs for video, and has begun to perform live, showcasing his interpretations of Bossa Nova, Tropicalia, and Caetano Veloso compositions. Most recently, Bruno performed at this years Philadelphia and Boston Faerie Gatherings; in the fall, he will begin performing his original songs.Justin Sayre is best known as the creator and writer of the hit downtown comedy/variety show The Meeting*(2012 Bistro Award, 2011 MAC Nominee) and its annual benefit "Night of A Thousand Judys" - was described by Michael Musto in The Village Voice as "Oscar Wilde meets Whoopi Goldberg." In a recent story for Edge New York, Steve Weinstein said "Comedian, raconteur, performing artist, gay rights activist and sexual outlaw: I'm not sure Justin Sayre is classifiable. The veteran performer is on his way to becoming a Downtown Manhattan institution along the lines of Charles Ludlum or Charles Busch." An evening of his short plays, "Justin Sayre Is Alive and Well... Writing" - called one of the "Top 10 Events on the New York Stage" by the New York Daily News - sold out two shows at Ars Nova last April. A second reading of his play, The Click of The Lock, starring Randy Harrison, Christian Coulson and Sean Dugan took place at Labyrinth's Bank Street Theater this February.Amber Martin is an acclaimed NYC vocalist and comedic performance artist in the traditions of Lily Tomlin, Carol Burnett and Dolly Parton. Her shows have been likened to “watching Ruth Draper after she’s come back from an acid trip during which she thought she was Janis Joplin.” Amber’s recent projects include belting out the backing vocals on The Scissor Sisters hit single “Inevitable” from their latest album, Magic Hour. Amber also continues to evolve as writer, curator and star of her sold-out performance series’ Amber Alert!, Hi! and Wigshop - altered collections of music-focused vignettes drawn from Amber’s own true stories and her toy box of strange and fascinating characters - including such powerhouse guest stars as Karen Black, John Cameron Mitchell, Jake Shears, Justin Bond and Bridget Everett.--LPV Events are made possible by Allied Productions, Inc., Gardeners & Friends of LPV, Citizens for NYC, The Trust for Public Land, GreenThumb/NYC Dept. of Parks, Materials for the Arts, NYC Dept. of Cultural Affairs, NYC Dept. of Sanitation, & NYC Board of Education.
