This includes the story of Central Park’s origins in the destruction of one of Manhattan’s earliest property-owning African-American neighborhoods (Seneca Village), as well as aspects of the founding of our National Park system. The Panel Discussion will include Seneca Village archaeologist and educator Nan A. Rothschild, and cultural historian, activist, and writer Kazembe Balagun, and others, to be announced. ______________________________Amanda Trager & Erik Moskowitz are a collaborative team. Song, ventriloquism and the depiction of environments — the natural and the artificial — are consistent elements in their body of work in film, video and installation. Their work has been presented internationally at venues that include Centre Pompidou (Paris), the Rotterdam Film Festival, the Reina Sofia (Madrid), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), Beirut Art Center, Participant, Inc. and the 303 Gallery (NYC).Parks-Pools-The-People---manevitz-viele-topographical-1856 Parks-Pools-The-People---The-Swimming-Pool
