What ensues is far more terrifying than anything that came before….Accustomed to sublimating his experience into the mouths of female characters, for this workshop performance, the author will attempt to read his own words."I imagine myself splitting into two -- leaving one of me behind with the Leather Family while the real me, the me who goes back to work carrying a bottle of crimson vitamin water -- his heart draws back at the power of the other’s will and its engagement with disaster -- this nihilism, it’s real, call Ripley, he won’t believe it.”Bio:Nationally-acclaimed Lower East Side-based playwright, dramaturge and director Tom Cole has received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony and Edward Albee Foundation, with work presented at Participant, Dixon Place, ICA Boston and Threadwaxing Space among many others.
