A Poetry Reading In Collaboration with Hanging Loose Press

Hanging Loose Press has been publishing poetry in NYC for over half a century. We’ve published many authors' first books, many of whom are now poets that define the contemporary poetry world. We have also always made space for young writers by featuring poems from writers of a high school age in our literary magazine, we’ve been a press for so long that some of those high school poets are now our current editors. The press has come through a period of mourning for the untimely death of our editor, Robert Hershon, and the upheaval of Covid with a renewed focus on uplifting unheard voices in poetry and having more community events like outdoor readings in the NYC area.
