The Othered: BIPOC Decolonial Poetry Circle

A BIPOC decolonial poetry circle of poets will read selections of their work that express a dynamic of resistance, mediation, and creation which engages cross-cultural perspectives that activate and embody decolonial subjectivity and phenomenology. After the readings, the poets will create poetry chains that emerge after one poet recites a line from one of their poems and each subsequent poet improvises a line until one of the poets closes the chain. The poetry chains can also include audience members interested in participating in a round.
